More or less. Until I noticed the masted ship sailing past...alas sans sails but with today's winds, it would have managed a few speed records or a set of blown-out sails if they had been hoisted. Quite a bluster today. My dear Brisbane reader
It kind of looked majestic nonetheless.
Meanwhile, it is time to turn my attention to conference papers and manuscripts, publishing submissions and grant applications--such is the 'holiday' time of the average academic.

It is kind of reassuring to see that things carry on as usual outside then...as 'usual' as yet another photo shoot might be, or bird flying into the sunset...
It's all becoming part of the everyday, and I guess there is something reassuring in that.
