Day 125, 5 May 2017: Lock out!

Day 125: ...shut the gates!

That's what happened today. Off I went to work, to go to the office to do some catch-up and planning, perhaps a bit of writing.

But the gates were locked! Shut! Closed!

Well, it was day four in the current series of holidays, but still, I didn't expect the gates to be closed.

That meant a quick change of plan--head home. But before that, the university is in a part of the city where there is always something going on, on weekends or holidays, and today being a holiday, there was stuff going on all over the place.

Over at Odaiba (closer to the wheel) was a large latin American festival (yesterday Germany, today South America ...who needs to travel?) ...

Locked out of the office, it was lunch under the new leaves on the trees

The wheel, hidden

A Japanese-Latin band

Waiting

Strumming

The Cinco De Mayo festival

And the moon jumped over the wheel

Hot in the city

Weedy flowers

Cherries on the tree at the university's (locked) gate

And that's a wrap

And the moon followed me all the way home

Closer to the station, a series of school bands entertaining the crowds (although, I reached them just as they were finishing up).

And although my newfound gym has also been closed for the last few days, I managed over 15,000 steps walking from one end of the port area to the other (and back again). Perhaps I just need more holidays!
