So a relatively unremarkable flight home. Lots of school kids, all the school kids. School holiday excursions I gather...'ah but, when we were young...', etc and so forth.
Actually, returning today, there was a very good reason to cut short the trip...my entry a few weeks ago into the Queensland Symphony Orchestra's 'Day in the Orchestra' experience was successful and first rehearsals were this afternoon...what a week.
So back home, look over the music, unpack, look over the music, rest a little, look over the music...settle rising feelings of anxiety: yes, you're playing with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. And not *with* the bass clarinettist, you *are* the bass clarinettist...
I'll just pop outside for a moment...
