I know, I should probably be getting out more but it is the season to be home reading and listening to the cricket (and, in the case of today, reading through all the documentation for the new course outlines to be written by January, which I received from Tokyo this morning, which of course I'm not panicking about which is why I'm coping by writing this stream of consciousness as it all suddenly seems to become so real...).
On the other hand, who needs to go anywhere beyond the back deck when nature's colours oblige. There are the colours of the loris as they slake their thirst (OK, sip from the birdbath)...
Sip... |
Intense |
Catch the drip |
Walk the line |
...the butcher bird looking on and observing...
Monotonal tones |
...and the junior currawong just pestering mama currawong for a feed...
Still here |
No filters were adjusted or applied, this is nature just as it is. Magnificent.
