****WARNING: Arachnids (and butterflies) ahead****
Earlier today, as 'reward' for completing (almost, not quite) a major furniture restoration project, I suggested to myself an afternoon trip to Minnippi Parklands, not far from here, a little oasis in Brisbane suburbia. I agreed. Purely for the purpose of taking pics of course, just something, somewhere, different.
And then...
In between waiting for the first and second coats of varnish to dry, the butterfly came back. And the purple flowers had come out overnight so I thought...well, here's picture potential...
And there was...
Fluttering butterfly |
Landing |
Interlude:
The business of moths |
And while the lens was moving over the leaves and flowers, it discovered:
Spidery yoga |
And then perhaps overstaying the 'welcome', couldn't help but capture the lunch catch.
Move over buddy... |
Finders, keepers, eaters |
The Parklands will be there for another day. And the varnishing job is done. Excellent weekend rest and recreation, or restoration, as it were.
