When you wake up knowing the day will consist of not moving too far from the room you are in, you become alert to the sights and sounds and colours emerging at that moment. I think. (yes, still packing and cleaning and preparing.)
Or else, it was just the stunning colour of the sunrise, just before sun up, that seeped through the blinds, into the room and prompted me to grab the cam.

Just a matter of 35 seconds apart, the colour comes and goes so quickly at these opportunities. But very much worth the capture, and just the tonic for getting on with the day's demands.
