Day 106 2016: End of the first week...

Day 106: ...and we'll make it

So it has been quite a week. New classes, new students, new system. But it is probably fair to say we've made it. And we will keep on keeping on. Yes, teaching my discipline in my second language is certainly challenging but you know, why not take on a challenge in your middle years.

Today, the greatest frustration was not the teaching, not the students, but the 'system'...there is much more to uploading one's cv than a simple document transfer. Every entry is accompanied by about 10 minutes worth of data sorting...and then the system times out without warning...a task that could take five minutes, is going to be a labour of love data input that may well just take the rest of the month...

A field of tulips, you're welcome

A little further to the right of the desk

A real working port

But wait, it has to be done by next Friday. Goodness. Oh well, at least I have the view to compensate.
