Occasionally, I have to head south, Melbourne in fact, to attend work related meetings. It is not uncommon for me to have to hop on a 5.00am flight for a 10.00am start to allow for daylight saving time differences. Today however, with no classes to account for, I was able to head down the night before. That meant heading around the corner from the hotel to Flinders Lane to a little Italian restaurant we have frequented at other times.

The laneway style is different form Brisbane (although we are making some efforts in that general direction) and tonight, we got a laneway-side seat to view the passing traffic. Perfect spot from which to plan and plot to propose ways to make the world, starting with the tertiary education sector, a better place (the purpose of the meeting over the next few days).
