A longish trip home. Longer than it needs to be since Qantas no longer flies out of Brisbane so it is always via Sydney. A bit back-to-front. I always seem to manage to get the school trip flights too...a bunch of Australian kids on the way over, 120 Japanese kids on the way back...and then onto Brisbane on the same plane. Oh well.
People always talk about the 'light' in the Australian sky and that's what struck me again this time as I arrived home. That, and the blooms of course.
