Today is the first of two days of international meetings here in Brisbane. The G20 group of nations meet to discuss...well, frankly, the sorts of things the always discuss. Every time they meet.
Which tells you something of the glacial pace of international meetings.
It has been hard to miss the preparations here in Brisbane over the last few months. Indeed, I have plans to head in today to observe a meeting or two myself (next post).
But amidst the plane watching, the motorcades, the shuttle buses, meetings, marches and protests, I was charmed by two backyard visitors today.

They're not as colourful as the loris but important and welcome visitors nonetheless.
