Day 3 2015: Moon rises...

Day 3: ...sun sets

Well, I take enough photos of the moon at home so why not here in Tokyo. The moonrise this afternoon was at a rather good time to catch the setting sun too. It offered an array of colours, light and shadow.

Moon rise meets sunset
And let's face it, what else are we wannabe snappers seeking to catch if not those key elements. It is still quiet on the homefront. The ekiden finished on schedule around 2.00pm affording me the chance to get out and about for a while.

Starting with the moon rise across the road:

A slightly different angle
And then a walk around the streets looking like a lost sheep*, camera in hand.  (*Handy, this year is the year of the sheep.) Here are a few of those moments. (Regrettably I only have my 80mm lens with me, not the 300mm. Still, I was after a particular effect--she says, regretting not having the 300mm and forced to make do.)

At a nearby park, the sun on the trees particularly pretty
Moon rising over the local pool
Wisteria trunk in the park

Looks like a full moon due in the next day or so.

Watching the sun set

Tomorrow is the last day out before heading home. What will the day bring?

**We all finished the ekiden inside the top ten...just. Just a little room for triumphalism from certain quarters...there's always next year.
