Started the day with an early run into the ABC studio, ostensibly to do a piece to TV about the outcome and implications of Japanese hostage situation. The request was made on Friday (funnily enough a day after media training at work...). On the way there, the segment was cancelled due to other events (might have been a certain leadership spill...). No problems, that's live telly for you.
Turned around to head home, as tempting as a morning at South Bank might have been. Plenty to do at home, including the council clean-up weekend. That's when we get to put out large items for collection by the council, except for all the other people who come around in the meantime to pick and choose. Fascinating to see what is taken and what is left. Once they used to do it under the cover of dark, but it's been all day and my pile has considerably diminished.
Of course the now standard Sunday kicks in and one prepares for work things. That is what I have done for much of the rest of the day. The day flew by far too quickly.
Late in the afternoon I was a little surprised to see some of the day's last butterflies in the day's last sunlight.

They are always a challenge to capture in low light. But it is always nice to see them around.
