Day 76 2015: At the end of another day...

Day 76: ...sitting by another lake

Yes, dear reader, I did think about another swing by the beach on the way home this evening but time got away and the end of the light of the day is suddenly very much more noticeable (we notice these things when our hobby relies on the quality of the light).

As it turned out, there was just time to head to the lake at the uni car park. But there was another reason I was interested. This morning, the grounds staff were getting stuck into the long grasses where previously I have spotted our dragonflies and egrets amongst other photogenic specimens.

So this evening there was just enough light for a little reflective photography, as it were. And here, with one minute and one second between them, two views of the lake, in a dusky light...

Dusky shades

Another dusky shade of lake, just a jump to the left

...and a cloud of mosquitoes. Maybe the grass-cutting disturbed them.

[Camera : Canon EOS 60D, 28-80mm, 6.30:23pm, 6.31:24pm; and it still works perfectly fine after yesterday's encounter with Chester's young master]

Today's post is brought to you by the word 'another', just in case you needed another reminder...
