Today is Monday, the 3.00am start through to midnight day. Besides the early start for teaching, I had the additional challenge of getting home in time to pick up instruments and then get to Parliament House in time for a meeting. We are planning, planning more exciting events. Let's just say, I made it, just. I also made it to rehearsal, just.
There's actually very little time for pics on days like today. Certainly I 'see' many many possibilities as I drive along the highway but stopping is a bit awkward, nay, dangerous.
That leaves us, dear reader, with our walk to the car park. Not surprisingly the rain from last week was still pooling around the edges and I was a bit hesitant, to be honest, about heading over the grassy knoll to the lake, given our red-belly black encounter last week.
Puddles remain |
The closest birds were the adult purple swamphens, looking somewhat relieved of their chick-rearing responsibilities of the last few weeks. Looks like the kids are all grown up and have literally flown the coop leaving mum and dad to wander around, shakin' that tail feather...

...watch that tail feather shake |
No really, if you look closely.
And now, dear reader, after a 21 hour day, I beg your indulgence, to sleep... perchance to dream. Until tomorrow.
