So technically, apparently I've missed the best of the cherry blossom season. I've missed it by just a couple of days, but that also has to do with the fact that the weather has been mucking up the blossom timetable--hot weather, cold weather, rain...indeed, even some snow last week apparently.
Nonetheless, all is not lost. There are blossoms to be viewed in all shapes, sizes and colours, so I'm not too worried. Indeed, the walk to work this morning was a delight.
There is probably a very good reason for the new academic/financial/working year to begin on 1 April, the peak of spring...it really gives you a lift.
