Yep, it is full moon time. Time we all look to the skies, get a little excited. What have I learned in the last month that might make this effort a little better than last? ... and other such self-interrogations.
Truth be told, I rarely get time between full moon phases to spend any real time on the technicalities. It just seems to come around so quickly. About every four weeks as it happens...
So yesterday, we had lovely clear skies and almost full moon pics from the back verandah. Today held the promise of full moon rising over the Pacific Ocean at Moffat Beach, on my 'way home' from work. Expected moonrise: 5.43pm.
Trouble is, the plan went awry at the appearance of clouds in the afternoon. Although the sunset made a picture of them, well worth the view:

So, the anticipation. There must be a word for that moment where your anticipation is not met in the way you anticipated but turned out in a way you didn't expect. And it must be 'cloudy'. Somewhere between a spectacular cloudy sunset and an atmospheric cloudy moonrise...
It is probably a long German word. These things usually are...
