Day 169 2015: A fog of marking...

Day 169: ...on an eventually clear day

One of those very foggy starts today. And hitting the road early for a day of language assessment meant being a little wary in the breaking day. The oddest aspect was approaching Chermside shopping centre, unable to see it from Gympie Road and yet, quite literally on the other side of the centre--clear skies. Fog: there one minute, evaporated the next. Totally.

I'm sure students feel a bit like that on the days of their exams. I recall I did. Especially Japanese written tests which required far too much memorisation and short term recall, only to forget it all within minutes of leaving the room...

For those of us who have to mark these things however, we officially enter the period known as the fog of marking and grading. Like war, but not, actually.

Anyway, some stunning foggy sights early on, and then...

Frangis in the fog

There's a hill over there...somewhere
...at the other end of the drive, some brilliant light and dancing dew drops.

And at the end of the drive...

...sunlight and dew drops

I'm looking forward to the dancing. Soon. About two weeks from now.
