Sundays. Most people manage to sleep in. And, theoretically, given the last few days, you would think I might manage a sleep in too. But no, it rarely happens.
And to be quite honest, I'd hate to miss the beautiful colours of the sunrise. Yes, we get the colours at the other end of the day too but I do like the morning. Sometimes, you really only get a minute, literally: from the hint of colour through the window, to getting up, grabbing the big cam, capturing as best one can, the colour, the light, the texture of the clouds.

And glad I didn't of course, otherwise I'd miss my other favourite morning visage...the lorikeets. Sometimes they seem quite amused...

It is probably the silly-looking camera-wielding human. Probably not the sight they like to see first thing in the morning (unless, of course, there is bird food).
