Day 43 2016: Some days...

Day 43: ...some days, the pic just 'happens'

I know it might be odd that sometimes a blog about photos becomes a post about how the pic came to be, rather than just about the pic and a few rambling thoughts. 

Today, however, is one of those posts. It started easily enough: busy day (as one might expect), little time for pics, day begins to end so one goes a little reluctantly* to the backyard because there's no photo yet...but there will be something surely...

(*'reluctantly' only, dear reader, because you've seen so many backyard pics this week)

So it starts with a butcher bird. On a branch.

And then, ordinarily enough, s/he reaches for a sip or two of aqua byrdbathe...

And then, something interesting...

 And then we both see it!

It is very simple, but it was late in the day and at the time it just seemed like a great #project366 moment. Mission accomplished, 43 days in.
