Today, day 42: despite a range of chores to be undertaken, there remains work to be done (that's not as contradictory as it sounds). By work, I mean research, reading, writing; a day barely goes by where I don't do one or all of the above. Today's excursion involved heading over to Griffith to take in a seminar by a pre-eminent Japanese security studies academic.
The topic? 'Is Abe's security policy bold (enough)? Well the answer wasn't 42, though it should be. Nonetheless, it was interesting to hear Prof Soeya given his proximity to the current debate. Something more to follow-up soon.
Travelling to Griffith means travelling by buses, making it a bit tricky to take the big cam, even though it is situated in magnificent forest...
That means of course, just one thing: no camera on the trip results in photos from the backyard (again).

But really, I was quite lucky to find these wonderful things in the backyard today.
