...with a brief glimpse of the present day. It is amazing how limited time can concentrate the mind. I imagine that if the resources available for my research were more readily available, say, in Tokyo, I probably would eventually get around to looking at them. But when you travel a few hundred kms to check them out well there is not much that will distract...
...except perhaps lunch. At least, I told myself, a short break out in the fresh air would do some good, surely.

And so, with lunch done and new storage files purchased (yes, much copying), it was back to it for the rest of the day. Until 5.00pm. With few hiccups except for the public access photo copier not working and having the librarian very kindly copy my materials, all three hundred pages, very kindly...
