Day 203: ...the goal is in sight
Saturday. When I have no other commitments it means a day, or more truthfully by the time I get there, a half day in the office (it is Saturday after all). There is always something to be doing in this academic life. That might be marking some assignments, it might be preparing classes, reviewing curricula, planning a book, finishing an article, starting an article, filing some research material, answering emails from the last week, filing a report, playing catch up with essential reading of newspapers, journals, magazines, books, twitter...not necessarily in that order.
It might also mean just taking time to look out the window. And ponder. And reflect. And think. We rarely have time to do much of the latter these days.
Even if it is just wonder about some of the things you see from up on the tenth floor...
