The trouble with quick return trips home is that they can tend to be full of running around doing all the things that need to be done while away: bill-paying, shopping for shoes in a place where your size is considered 'normal' not oversize, and the like. Sometimes there is a bit of time to squeeze in a lunch but time is short...where? For me, that place is always Southbank in the city and specifically in and around the Art Gallery and Library space.
Very settled, calming spaces for me...

We sort of perused the exhibits in the gallery as well, but this time really the focus was on the lunch, the chat, the catch-up...then back down the M1 hoping to beat the approaching storm.
Made it, just.
