Most of Southeast Queensland it seems, awoke this morning (4.00am for some) to the sound of constant, heavy, drumming rain. Nice for some. Harbinger of dread for others. Part of me wants the rain, part of me would rather it chose to fall at other times.
Today was one of those days. The sequel to yesterday's hot water system exercise was that today it was being installed...and so in the rain. No April Fools here, much.
Some
There was a break in the rain however, however briefly. The sun tried to peek through at one stage and give me some background for the rose and yes, dear reader, you guessed it, raindrops. The flower-tipped weeds too, somehow looked, well, like a picture, perhaps. No April Fools here dear reader, I was thinking rustic, cottage, somewhere.

But best part of the day was a small gathering for #project365 friend and encourager Susan's (@snoozen, susansnaps.blogspot.com.au) birthday. In town, at a place that was dairy-themed. Look, I aimed for all five major food groups, you just can't quite see the nuts, coconut, cranberries, mint, protein (in the puff pastry) in amongst all the milk and calcium content (and a little sugar for that energy boost to walk back to the bus stop). Perfect really.
All five food groups there, really |
And Happy Birthday to you Susan. Definitely no April Fools there.
