With weekends being what they are, full of work and non-work-related activities, it is always quite important to remember to get down to the Gold Coast from time to time to visit mum.
She had a couple of good reasons to go today. One was to go to a particular shopping centre that neither of us particularly like and so going together is better than not going at all...or something.
But mum knows me well, as you would expect dear reader. 'Bring your camera', she said, 'I think we should go and look at the ANZAC tribute at Currumbin'. Camera, Currumbin...who needs more.
And so we did. Indeed, it was quite a remarkable tribute created by local school children using recycled and remodelled drink bottles....

Quite moving.
Then lunch and home again to do some work and non-work-related things, including a concert. Very much looking forward to that. Tomorrow, there may, or may not be stories about a newly-acquired bike...
Visits to mum's place are always good.
