Back on campus today for the ongoing 'holiday' of writing, preparation, review of marks, discussing ideas with colleagues. Such is the life of an academic on break. But you are probably aware of that already dear reader.
It was a stunning winter day. Crisp, clear air; blue sky. But cold. A very cold wind. As cold as Southeast Queensland gets. So not too bad. The only question I had at one moment today was 'should I take the pics in the morning, or wait until the afternoon on the way to the car park, by the lake, on the way to tai chi class...?'
The afternoon won. Waiting there somewhat nonchalantly was the male kanga of the lake mob. Not bothered by the lens-wheeling primate at all.

I felt quite inspired as I headed off down the highway. The afternoon lake was, as always, a hive of activity and a perfect interregnum for the rest of the evening.
