Day 349 2016: Waiting for the happiness moment...

Day 349: ...let the work begin

My university has established a 'happiness research institute'. Yes, it might sound a bit clappy, happy. But it is not. It is a way to bring together a multi-disciplinary group of academics to think about their research and find ways to bring ideas of 'happiness' to the fore.

I think it will be interesting and it is also a great way to meet people outside the faculty.

Tonight is the first meeting to hear about some projects getting an early start. But that was later in the day, 6.00pm in fact. Prior to that, there were two other meetings to attend and participate and move the agenda forward as it were.

There was a bit of work in between, and the changes in the water colour and texture drew me in today.

The many shades of the bridge

Steely

Majestic masts

Masts and steam

Still steely

And steely blue
Not to mention the masts and ropes of the ship at berth. I don't know why but I love the look of an old boat. But there is more modern transport to get us around these days...

Train incoming

Waiting for the next one

...and lucky for us, the trains always arrive on time.
