Somewhere today the weather turned from perfect (if not suitably autumnally cool) to, well, rain. Completely unpredicted greyish rain.
It wasn't my fault, it was an early teaching day, quite preoccupied until lunchtime and then into the afternoon with preparation for the next round of classes tomorrow.
Certainly, the days are getting shorter but today I was intrigued by the gradual change in the colours of the day.
By the time I left work, the rain had come and gone. The air was even cooler. Signs of winter.
