Marking time is intense time but a seminar on gender and security will win every time, hands down. And so it was today, with the marking mountain sitting on the desk, that I went to Ochanomizu, Meiji University to be precise, to attend a half-day symposium.
First visit to Meiji University that I could recall, in the impressively-named 'Liberty Tower' (built to commemorate the 120th anniversary) but not the first time to Ochanomizu. I used to work at a school here once a week, many years ago. The building is still there, but the school is long gone.

It is also a district known for countless musical instrument shops which can add to the time it takes to walk between the uni and train station to return...to that mountain of marking.
A most interesting seminar, well worth the day. I'll be reporting on it over on the other blog soon.
