Day 244, 1 Sep 2017: A brief taste of spring...
Day 244: ...before autumn comes along
Yes, climate change, global warming, call it what you will, deny it if you dare. But today, in the Southern Hemisphere, Spring began. Tomorrow, I fly north, where it will be Autumn. Japan has managed to identify 72 seasons, micro seasons wrapped into the four main ones we live by. I think we will need to work on that.
It hardly felt like there had been any winter here for the last two weeks and as for Spring/Autumn tomorrow, well let's see.
So, for the record and the return trip, just a few of my favourite things around the house, before we leave for another few months...

Addendum: It would appear that what we thought was Wednesday's dolphin at Moffat Beach, may have in fact turned out to be a baby humpback whale, lost inshore and which later beached itself further up the coast. Oddly enough, on the day I thought the animal looked a bit sick and I wanted to swim out to help it... Vale, little one.
