Day 312 2016: Seasons like clockwork...

Day 312: ...and so for the port; classes however...

Heading back to the office, a little chill in the air. The one thing about eight week terms is that you're just getting used to the timetable and it is about to come to an end; we then gear up for another eight weeks and then, well, then it is the end of the academic year. Until next time.

All of which I was thinking this morning as we headed into the last two weeks. This time next term I'll be heading in for a new class, new students on Monday, whereas Monday has been my non-teaching day this term.

Ah, it is discombobulating at times.

So it is just as well the port operates on a longer timetable, it is almost getting predictable.

Industrial shot

Cranes

The cherry blossom at the front gate changed colours overnight

Waves and wake

More industry, like clockwork

Surface interrupted

Well, perhaps not quite and I've got another five months or so to go before I've seen a full year out but there are at least identifiable signs of regularity, like the leaves the trees, the ripples on the water.
