We've watched the leaves in Tokyo start to turn in the last few weeks but really, they fade in comparison where the 'real' leaves 'really' turn. And so it was today at Nikko. Reds, orange, yellow. As one who has mostly grown up in a sub-tropical climate, which has its own beauty, I can't help but be enamoured by the colours of autumn. Perhaps others take them for granted, but I can't help myself.
There was plenty on show today, even if the light wasn't at its best.

It certainly sated my appetite for autumn leaves. Now, if only I could get 'that song' out of my head...'when autumn leaves, start to fall...lalala'; you know the one I'm sure, dear reader.
