Well after yesterday's overload, today is probably time for a little less. Of everything. Well, not quite.
We were awoken this morning by a rather largish quake, the epicentre of which was further up the coast, at Fukushima. Yes, that Fukushima that suffered the extraordinary quake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown five and a half years ago.
Once it was established that there wasn't going to be the level of damage of the last one, we could all start thinking about how it was a case of sleep-in interrupted. Just to be a wee bit selfish.
Today was another uni holiday and I had every intent, on going to sleep last night, to go to work today--preparations for the coming term (tomorrow) and so forth.
But no. I decided to scale back today, head down the train track and into town to buy some camera cards...why? Because since my near-disaster of a few weeks ago (see Day 304) (and yes, 'disaster' is relative given what might have been this morning), my trip up to Nikko yesterday very nearly met with the same problem when I realised I still hadn't bought cards. So that was today's only major effort; well, that and a few other purchases for work and the like.
Oh, and afternoon tea.
Abandoned bike |
Can't see the weeds for the bamboo |
A coffee smoothie? Why, yes, thank you |
The bike has been left abandoned near the bus stop and the bamboo stood tall in the sunlight today.
That was about it today. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to have a quiet time and a little rest.
