Sunday, a work day of sorts, which means a pause of sorts on my visit-a-park-on-Sunday plan. Never mind, there is a big adventure coming up next Monday to make up for it.
Today was another Open Day, only this time on the Musashino campus, the university's original campus, to the west of Tokyo. It takes just as long to get there as the campus by the bay but one needs to travel on three trains and a longer bus ride. That meant an early start...on Sunday.
Oh well.
This is about the third or fourth trip I've made to the western campus, I don't have classes here so each time is a bit of an adventure.
On the inside: the business of selling politics |
Some of the many ways we read |
Of course, there's a fountain |
Beads of water |
Pine in the season |
Red leaf |
Orange leaf |
At the entrance to the campus |
Carp |
Three monkeys (a prelude to next Monday) |
A signpost c. 1784 |
The combination of crocodile's tail in the suburbs and long grass and almost full moon... too hard to resist |
If I go a few stations further west, I'll get to a mountain town called Takao, a trip there is on the cards soon.
Meanwhile, it is back to work tomorrow. Work. Back? Wait...
