Interview day. Well, 'interview' sounds a bit more formal than the actual intent which is just to meet the students, one-on-one, who have applied to join the seminar group from next year. And mainly those students who submitted their application without prior consultation, just so we can make sure they've made the right choice.
Of course, this caused a bit of an unanticipated problem...those who *didn't* receive a notice of an interview automatically thought they'd been rejected. Ooops. Not actually my intent.
Anyway, a few quick meetings later, and one or two who haven't turned up (that doesn't augur well), and we might be just about sorted.

It's a tough job, you'd like to take many more than you can possibly accommodate in one seminar and then there is the responsibility...
But, it is all worth it.
