We are still more than a month away from the end of the teaching term and yet there is something about the 'end of the year' in classes at the moment. While Japan has a very commercial Christmas, most people look forward to the three day celebration that brings in the new year. So too the students. And probably the academics, to be honest...
So for most classes this week, this will be the last meeting until we return in early January. So there is a bit of calm, a bit of frenzy as we aim to reach December deadlines...
