So the day arrives, the bags are packed and then there is the trek to the airport. I always take the same route: catch the train to Ikebukuro, catch the bus to the airport, wait around the airport until the call comes.
Tonight's plane was delayed by 20 minutes or so, unusually. But eventually we left.
