Day 275: ...world peace: listen to the women
Bit of a recovery day today. And then a bit of an assist for friend and tweepster, Patty Beecham (@pattycam) to help out with some photographs tonight. Nervous and chuffed all at the same time.
A group of women leaders in faith organised a women pray for peace even in the St John's Cathedral in Ann Street in the city. Now, I'm not religious these days as such although if pressed, I might lean towards a little Buddhist-inspired spirituality, following all my years in Japan.

But even for this hardened, sceptical international relations academic (who is still driven by a desire to find peaceful resolution to world problems...so related...), it was a really touching evening to hear so many women speak through their respective faiths to seek the same resolution. Really a very special evening.
Thanks Patty! A privilege to work with you tonight.
