Day 223 2016: Hazy, lazy dayz of summer...

Day 223: ...except one of those words just doesn't belong

I've often wondered what a 'lazy' summer might mean. I never seem to have one (unless you count the three or four days starting Boxing Day whereupon I devote myself to reading books and listening to cricket on the radio).

Anyway, the heat was on early today, near 30 deg by 9 o'clock...

Everyone seeking shade at the bus stop

...and the work view was very hazy...

On a day you could hardly see the bridge...

...or very far beyond it

Navigating the obstacles

A most unusual craft

...but not at all lazy. So much to complete before the last day of semester officially ended. And it properly ends. As of tomorrow, no-one is allowed on campus until 18 August. Really. I think that is probably a good thing for the health and well-being of staff and students. Stay home. Be 'lazy', for a week at least.
