Birds of a feather...

...or more than one feather, as it happens...(35/365, 4 Feb 2022)

So as promised yesterday, I took the cam home with the intention of capturing something a little different on the way to work this morning. Secretly, however, I was anticipating that one of the early blooming blossom trees, down on the promenade, might have started its emergence into pretty in pink status. Alas, it was not to be.

Everyone knows the cherry blossoms and while it is a tad early for those (next month maybe), around about now we can expect the plum blossoms to pop up. They are often a rich pink, some say almost red. I have a few other 'secret early blooming spots' around the place too although two whole days of exam supervision this weekend might get in the way of those.

Instead of blossoms today it was the birds. Quite a few around too. Another sign Spring is on the way (although I will be checking the convenience store on the way home for that real sign of Spring--the beer with cherry blossom decorations, coming soon to a blog near you).

But birds of a feather...a few stray sparrows and pigeons but also a couple of other sights from the tenth floor (because we are never going to escape that theme for the foreseeable future...).

On the set

Friday, but the week's work is not over yet.

I have mentioned that the port area is a popular backdrop for photo shoots or movie sets...and so it was today. Didn't get in close enough to see who it was, but then, I'm probably too old to know. And the sunset colours, just because...

The Canon EOS M5, 18-150mm on hand for today. One day soon, when I'm not coming to work, I'll mix it up a bit. Might even find somewhere interesting to photograph.
