Day 15/365: When is a class...

...not a class?

We have a special guest lecture later in the week. A former Education Minister and current member of Parliament is coming to speak to students about the Olympics. He happens to also be an Olympian, having competed in Los Angeles in 1984. So? you ask...

Well, to ensure the numbers look good, two of my classes were designated as most appropriate to attend on Thursday, which in turn meant that, theoretically, students were relieved of one class (Monday is the double lecture, 180mins) in order to attend.

That should have meant that no-one needed to turn up early, for that first 90 mins but, since I was sure that some students wouldn't have got the message, or might have forgotten, I dutifully turned up anyway...

Turning out

Good thing I did, otherwise I would have missed the very excellent sparkles on the water. There's got to be some rewards along the way.
