Day 88/365: Carpeted...

...no, not in that way

In Brisbane, we have our jacaranda. Bare branches, turn purple, purple falls, forms a carpet on the ground...rain falls as we all go slip sliding.

Similarly, when the cherry blossom petals begin to fall, some days even looking a bit like snow falling, we get the carpets of pink all over the ground.

It is quite an effect...

It never seems to quite rain in the same way, or get slippery in the same way either, but it s still a sight.

And I guess amateur snappers are a breed of their own...I got some strange looks today as I kept the lens low, right down on the ground. Some people thought it was still the time to be looking up I reckon.

Still plenty of time for that.
